LeeFest, started by Lee Denny in his back garden, and being held near Tunbridge Wells, has released its first wave of acts.

The first wave of artists for a festival being held at a secret location near Tunbridge Wells has been announced.

LeeFest Presents: The Neverland - started by Lee Denny in his back garden 10 years ago - will be held from Thursday, July 28 to Saturday, July 30 at a site still yet to be announced.

The line-up includes Lianne La Havas headlining the Saturday night, with other acts including Ghostpoet, Roots Manuva, Shura, Little Simz, Loyle Carner, Spring King, Formation, Clean Cut Kid and The Big Moon.

Mercury Prize and Grammy Award-nominated wordsmith Lianne La Havas will be headlining. She said: “I am over the moon to not only be playing but headlining at LeeFest this year. It is a beautiful part of the country and I nearly share a name with the festival. Looking forward to having a sing song with everyone!”

Electronic soul crooner and Liverpudlian pop saviour Shura has been a new music favourite, with her debut studio effort Nothing’s Real due for release this year. British hip-hop legend Roots Manuva also plays alongside kaleidoscopic dance gurus The 2 Bears, who will be playing in the Mermaids Lagoon area with a special set of rave-garage.North London’s poetic mastermind Little Simz will be in the line-up, along with Spring King. Frontman Tarek Musa said: “A lot of our good friends and bands we love have played LeeFest, such as Stealing Sheep, Mystery Jets, All We Are and The Magic Gang! Pumped to be playing this year. Always dig a festival with a comedy stage."There will also be a range of cutting-edge new music, including Loyle Carner; pop-soul quartet Clean Cut Kid; duo Formation and retro-futurist masters MIAMIGO.Godfathers of Garage DJ Luck And MC Neat will be spinning their unmatched catalogue, plus sets from Fort Hope, Dinosaur Pile-Up, Queen Kwong and Nai Harvest.
There won't just be music on offer, as the festival will also have comedy and theatre entertainment and the site will be split into three areas: The Neverwoods, Mermaids Lagoon and Skulls Ridge.
