Police seek witnesses over stabbing

A MAN sufffered a stab wound to his side after what police have described as an altercation over noise.

Another man sustained bruising and possible broken ribs in the incident in Camden Road, Tunbridge Wells, shortly after 3.30am on Saturday.

Both men were taken to Kent and Sussex Hospital at Tunbridge Wells. Police say the man who received the stab wound is not in a serious condition.

A boy of 17 was arrested for public order offences in connection with the incident. He was later given police bail while further enquiries are made.

Det Sgt Steve Beardwell said: "There were other people in the area who were not involved with this incident and I would ask them to come forward and speak to us as they may well have information that would help our investigation.’
