Man cut free from car after colliding with tree in Tunbridge Wells

A man was cut free from his car after colliding with a tree in Tunbridge Wells.

Crews were called to the scene of the crash in Eridge Road just before 5.30am today.

Two fire engines were sent to the scene and on arrival crews found a man aged in his 30s trapped inside.

Using heavy rescue equipment, crews removed the side of the vehicle to gain access to the man who was transferred into an ambulance and the care of SECAmb paramedics.

Firefighters also made the scene safe.
