Man flown to hospital with life-threatening injuries after disturbance in Birling Road, Tunbridge Wells

A woman has been bailed after a man in his 50s was airlifted to a London hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police were called to a disturbance at a private residential address in Birling Road, Tunbridge Wells, shortly after 8.30pm on Friday.

A police spokesman said: "Officers attended and a man in his 50s was airlifted to a London hospital with injuries that are currently described as life-threatening.

"A 44-year-old woman was arrested in connection with the incident before being taken to a local hospital for treatment.

"Both parties are known to one another."

Police said the man remained in hospital in a stable condition on Sunday afternoon.

The woman was bailed to return to the police station on April 1.
