'Replica handgun' used in hold-up at store

A WOULD-BE robber entered a post office and store with what is thought to be a replica handgun and threatened staff.

He tried to open the till at the store in Chiddingstone Causeway, near Tonbridge, but left empty-handed before driving off in a small white car

The incident happened at about 9.20am on Tuesday. No one was hurt during the incident.

The man is described as white, aged between 35-40 5ft 8in tall, slim build with grey hair. He was wearing white t-shirt and blue jeans and glasses.

Police would like to hear from anyone who has any information about the incident or who may have seen the car being driven away from the area.
