They arrived to find one man had freed himself from one of the vehicles, but a woman was trapped in another.

Crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to create enough space for paramedics to assess her, before she was freed and taken to hospital by ambulance.

Two other men were also taken to hospital for treatment. None of their injuries are thought to be serious.

The suspect, a Broadstairs man aged 25, was arrested, questioned and bailed until October 23.
