Police release image following assault in Queen Street Ramsgate

Police have released an e-fit of a man following an attempted robbery in Ramsgate.

A man in his 20s withdrew some money from a cashpoint in Queen Street at around 10.05pm on July 27 when he was approached by a group of men, who demanded he give them the money.

The victim tried to run away but was tripped up and fell to the floor where he was assaulted.

Friends of the victim arrived at the scene and intervened, causing the suspects to leave empty-handed.

The victim sustained cuts and bruising during the incident.

People with information about the attempted robbery or anyone who recognises the man pictured in the image, is asked to call Police on 01843 222289 quoting ZY/043688/18.
