Police appeal after 'mugging' in Margate High Street

Police want to hear from the victim of a potential mugging.

A woman was seen being approached by another woman and a man who were demanding money in Margate High Street on Sunday, October 13.

The incident is said to have happened at around 7.55am near the High Street's junction with Grosvenor Hill.

Police officers believe that may have identified the suspects from CCTV but want to hear from the victim who has yet to report the incident.

She was seen walking a dog at the time of the incident.

Detective constable Tom Banks said: "For whatever reason, this robbery has not been reported to us.

"However, CCTV enquiries and witness evidence suggest an offence has happened and we are keen to trace the female victim. I would urge her to get in contact so we can ensure she is okay."
