Aggressive cold caller confronts pensioner in Charlton Close, Ramsgate

A man in his 80s faced an aggressive 'cold caller' who tried to get money from him at his home in Ramsgate.

Police are investigating the incident as an attempted robbery and have now released an e-fit image of the man they want to speak to.

It happened between Monday, November 26 and Thursday, December 6, in Charlton Close in the town where the caller is said to have been verbally aggressive to the pensioner.

The image was drawn up following work with the victim and other house to house inquiries which established the man was white with brown hair and in his late 40s or early 50s.

Anyone who recognises the image or has information which could help the investigation should call police on 01843 222289 quoting 46/19286/18.
