Sittingbourne have turned to Woodstock’s Brett Ince to help end their goal drought.

Bourne have gone four games without scoring after Saturday’s 3-0 defeat at Ryman League Division 1 South title challengers Faversham.

Nick Davis’ men host another in-form Kent team in Folkestone on New Year’s Day (3pm) with Ince, who joined Brickies in the summer but signed for Sports on dual registration, in line to feature. They then visit Whyteleafe on Saturday.

Ince has been Woodstock’s best player recently, scoring three goals in two games against Fisher and Gravesham Borough, and boss Lee Hockey said: “He’s been the stand-out player in recent weeks and deserves his chance to play higher.

“He turns up 40 minutes before training to work on his left foot and his dribbling.

“We wanted him when Sittingbourne signed him but he never actually played for them. I spoke to him and said to come and play for us, get his fitness up and score some goals and then go back to Sittingbourne.

"Nick played against Brett for Tunbridge Wells earlier in the season and knows what he can do.”
