Crowd mark Armistice Day in Sheerness town centre

An estimated 100 people gathered around the Clocktower in Sheerness town centre to mark Armistice Day.

As 11am chimed, buglar Steve Louch, of Sheppey Sea Cadets, sounded the Last Post.

This was followed by SSAFA representative Brian Lyons reciting ‘At the Going Down of the Sun, We Shall Remember Them’.

This year, the service was attended by youngsters from St Edwards Primary School, New Road, Sheerness.
