Firefighters cut passenger free from car after crash in The Street, Ightham, near Sevenoaks

Firefighters had to cut a passenger free from a car after it crashed in the early hours.

Police were called to The Street in Ightham, near Sevenoaks, at about 12.50am following reports a car had hit a wall.

Three crews from Kent Fire and Rescue Service were also sent, as was the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb).

Police said two people were treated for injuries.

A Kent Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "Crews used hydraulic cutters and speakers to remove the roof of the car to free the passenger by longboard.

"Crews assisted SECAmb and Kent Police in providing first aid to the driver and passenger of the car."

The road was cleared by 3.08am.
