Suspected Sevenoaks burglar in court after 'crowbar and hammer' attack on McDonald's worker

A suspect has appeared in court after a McDonald's employee was allegedly assaulted with a crowbar and hammer.

Two people entered an eatery before the alleged attack in Otford Road, Sevenoaks.

A quantity of cash was stolen and the victim later went to hospital for medical attention just before midnight on Friday, January 27.

In the early hours of the same day, two phone shops in Orpington and Sevenoaks High Street were alleged to have been burgled by three people, and property including mobile phones and tablets were reported stolen from both shops.

Jack Lockwood, of North Downs Crescent, New Addington, Croydon, was arrested on Thursday, February 16, and later charged with robbery, causing grievous bodily harm with intent, and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.

The 32-year-old was also charged with conspiring to commit burglaries in Orpington and Sevenoaks.

Lockwood appeared before Medway Magistrates' Court on Friday and was remanded in custody to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on March 17.
