A Eurostar train hurtles past the stationary lorries.More misery, this time at junction 8 (Maidstone), in January 2007.One of our photgraphers gets caught up in Operation Stack during the March 2005 snow.Operation Stack is put into force when a train breaks down inside the Channel Tunnel in October 2001.The tailbacks go on for miles in November 2006.The traffic built up again in December 2006.This picture, taken in March 2005, gives an impression of the extent of the queues.Traffic is diverted off the M20 at junction 11 after French industrial action in November 2001.

THE Kent Messenger Group has launched a campaign to put pressure on the Government to address the problems caused each time Operation Stack is put into force in the county.
