The bird which caught its wing in two high up wires had exhausted itself trying flap its way to freedom.

The wires were attached to a pole in Arethusa Road, Rochester.

Worried people called in the RSPCA after spotting the bird on Monday at around 2pm. The RSPCA called firefighters to help.
