Over the weekend, officers from the Medway’s Community Policing Team arrested a further three people on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.

The ten people who have been arrested are all aged between 14 and 21 and have since been bailed until various dates in April, while inquiries continue.

Police Sergeant, Ross Haybourne of Medway’s CPT said: "Thieves are opportunists and will target vehicles which seem insecure.

"I would like to remind residents to ensure their vehicles are secured as well as possible and that they are parked in well-lit areas. Keys should also be removed and stored out of sight."
