Pregnant woman given oxygen at Cuxton house fire

A pregnant woman was given oxygen and then taken to hospital after a fire broke out in a Cuxton kitchen.

Fire crews arrived at the Bush Road, Cuxton home at around 5.50pm yesterday to see the fire was already out.

The woman, in her 20s, was suffering from the effects of breathing in smoke, and was taken to hospital by paramedics.

Firefighters used a ventilation fan to clear the smokelogged property.
