An older man was attacked by a gang who raided his home, just days before Christmas.
Police are investigating the attempted robbery, which happened in Leeds Square, Twydall, between 6.15pm and 6.25pm yesterday.
The man was assaulted and sustained facial injuries. Ambulance crews were called to the scene to treat him.
It is believed a number of people were involved.
