Man suffers head injuries after assault in Borstal

A man was taken to hospital with head injuries after an attack.

It happened just after 9.20pm last night in Borstal Street, Borstal, near Rochester.

Police arrived to find the 35-year-old with a head injury.

Borstal Street was closed – from the paper shop at the top of Shorts Way to St Matthews Church – following the incident.

The man was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been discharged.

No arrests have been made and officers are continuing to make inquiries.

Last month a serious assault in the same road led to a man being taken to a London hospital for treatment.

Forensics scoured the scene and a 31-year-old was later arrested.
