A suspect was later arrested in connection with the incident and taken into custody.

Danny Gray, of Churchill Avenue, Chatham, has since been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent, criminal damage, assault of an emergency worker and possession of cocaine.

He is due to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court today.
