M&S told customers on social media that its store had reopened at 8am today (September 4).

The statement read: “We’re looking forward to welcoming back all our customers into the store. Our cafe will be opening at 9.

“See you soon!”

The outlet announced that it had been forced to close just after midday on Saturday, September 2.

M&S apologised to customers that it would be unable to fulfil its orders.

The statement read: “Unfortunately due to our network power failure we are still closed today.

“We’ve had lots of queries regarding orders and we are very sorry but due to the power loss we are unable to open the entrance to be able to hand any orders out.

“Due to no power we are not able to identify parcels for customers as they are stored by number and barcodes which means we cannot process any orders to be picked up.

“Thank you for your patience and understanding whilst we try to resolve this as quickly as we can.”
