A fundraising page has been set up to help the family of a Gills FC fan, who died after a collision in Chattenden , give him the send off he deserves.
Pedestrian Brian Durden, 69, was involved in a collision as he crossed Four Elms Hill, on Monday at around 6pm near his home in Wainscott .
The incident involved a black Peugeot 208 GTI and Mr Durden died at the scene.
A Go Fund Me Page set up today hopes to raise £6,000 to pay for Mr Durden to visit the Priestfield Stadium in Redfern Avenue one last time before he is laid to rest.
A tribute from his family on the fundraising page says: "Our world was shattered when we received a knock at the door from the police to inform us that our beloved brother and uncle has been in a fatal accident and passed away instantly.
"He was taken too soon from this world and will be greatly missed and loved by his close family and friends.
"He was a well known man around Medway, very popular with a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone.
"He loved Gillingham FC and was a long life supporter for years. He loved travelling with them to and from games and was a massive Liverpool fan also.
"He loved going to social clubs and calling out the bingo numbers, he never was a drinker so always ordered squash at the bar.
"We are setting up the page because we want to give him the best send off he so deserves.
"Anything however big or small would be greatly appreciated."
A 39-year-old man from Rochester was arrested in connection with the incident and has since been released from custody pending further inquiries.
Tributes flooded in for the 69-year-old, including one from Gills Independent supporters' club who dubbed him as "Mr Gillingham".
Kent Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is appealing for any witnesses to come forward who may have seen the collision or the vehicle travelling in the Medway Towns area beforehand.
