Coles arrest followed extensive inquiries and Kent and Humberside Police working closely together during the investigation.

Det Supt Rick Proctor, from Humberside Police, said: “The investigation to find Coles and bring him into custody has left no stone unturned.

“I would like to thank in particular Kent Police for their cooperation.

“Detectives from Humberside Police have also worked closely with forces across the country, the prison service, family and the media in order to bring Coles back into custody.”
