Arrest after cyclist taken to London hospital after crash on A228 Formby Road, between Cuxton and Halling

A woman has been arrested after a cyclist was injured in a crash in Halling.

Police were called to the A228, Formby Road, between Cuxton and Halling at 11.45am yesterday, after reports a cyclist had been involved in a crash with a car, thought to be a Fiat 500.

The road was closed while officers conducted inquiries at the scene.

The male cyclist was taken to a London hospital. It is believed he suffered head injuries.

A 23-year-old woman from Tonbridge has been arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drugs.

The woman has been released on bail pending further inquiries until November 2.
