Police seize Renault Megane found in Strood untaxed for six years

A car was seized after it was found to have been driven untaxed for six years.

Police on patrol in the early hours spotted an unattended Renault Megane parked under an archway off Barton Road, Strood

After running checks on the grey hatchback they discovered the vehicle had been untaxed for six years and didn't have a SORN (statutory off-road notification).

The officers found the vehicle at about 2am on Monday.

It was also discovered to be in active in use across the Medway towns following further inquiries.

Officers are now investigating the owner of the vehicle

Anyone with information have been asked to call police on 101 quoting reference CAD 10-0064.
