Teenager arrested after vandals smash windows and slash tyres in Snodland

A 14-year-old boy has been arrested after vandals went on the rampage in Snodland in a crime spree that lasted more than two weeks.

Windows were smashed and tyres slashed between Monday, December 19 and Friday, January 6.

Police received more than 30 reports from residents and two of the main areas affected were Saltings Road and Recreation Avenue.

Officers revealed there were 23 reports of damage to cars and nine relating to private property, including homes, communal areas in blocks of flats and a fence.

There were two reports of pink graffiti being daubed on property.

On Tuesday, January 10 a 14-year-old boy from Snodland was arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage.

His arrest relates to just one incident, a smashed window in Simpson Road, on Thursday, December 22.

He has been bailed, pending further enquiries, until Friday, March 10.
