Maidstone United announce departure of winger Roarie Deacon

Winger Roarie Deacon has left Maidstone after two years at the Gallagher Stadium.

Deacon didn’t feature on a lengthy list of departing players announced last month following relegation to National South.

But the 31-year-old is moving on following talks with manager George Elokobi.

“I spoke to Roarie at the weekend and we both agreed to go in different directions,” said Elokobi.

“I want to thank him for everything he’s done for this football club and he’s forever going to be part of this history from the team that got us promoted from the National League South into the National League.

“He played his part last season but it’s all come to an end now and we can all move on to new beginnings.”
