Tonbridge Angels midfielder Ade Olorunda will be out of action for at least two weeks after suffering serious facial injuries during the 2-1 Ryman League Premier Division win at his old club Hastings on Tuesday.

Olorunda, pictured, scored the second goal in first-half stoppage time at the Pilot Field before being injured in a collision with former team-mate Sean Ray which held up the game for eight minutes.

He was detained overnight in hospital and released the following day but has had a chain inserted in his mouth to help reset his teeth.

Former Hastings player Fraser Logan scored the opener - one of four ex-players in the Angels line-up. As well as Olorunda and Logan, Lee Worgan and John Beales were taking on their old side.

Boss Tommy Warrilow said: "Our physio Melvin Slight was concerned about Ade who was in a bad way at one point, slipped in and out of consciousness and was bleeding heavily from the mouth. They got him off to hospital quickly."

The win, however, put Tonbridge third after two successive defeats and they will be looking for six points when they visit Hendon at Wembley FC on Saturday and host Canvey on Tuesday.
