Tonbridge Angels' Ryman League Premier Division play-off hopes have been boosted by the arrival of Dartford striker Jay May.

The 24-year-old, pictured, joins Tommy Warrilow’s promotion-chasers for the end-of-season run-in.

"I’m delighted he has agreed to join us," said Warrilow. "He’ll give us a physical presence in the box and make a nuisance of himself."

Warrilow is conscious of a two-game ban looming for striker Adam Burchall, on loan from Dartford and with a possibility of being recalled at any time, while Meshach Nugent is returning from injury.

Paul Booth is the only other out-and-out striker at the club.

Angels travel to fellow play-off hopefuls Wealdstone on Saturday before hosting Margate on Monday.

"We’ve broken into the play-offs and we’re hoping to sustain this run now," Warrilow added.

"We still have to play teams around us, but the important thing is we’re in control of our own destiny."
