Maidstone: Teen attacked by gang in Heather Drive

Police have made an arrest after an 18-year-old boy was left with a fractured eye socket after being assaulted by a gang.

The victim had been walking along Loose Road in Maidstone with four friends at around 10.30pm on Tuesday, when he was shouted at by the occupants of a dark Ford Fiesta as it drove past.

The car was subsequently seen to pull into Parkway.

As the victim and his friends approached the junction with Heather Drive, it is reported the group who had been in the car, described as five men and a woman, ran down the road and assaulted the victim.

He fell to the floor where the group continued to punch and kick him.

The suspects left the scene and the victim went to hospital for medical attention to injuries described as a fractured eye socket, broken teeth and bruises.

Yesterday, police officers arrested a teenage girl from Maidstone on suspicion of assault and theft.

She was later bailed to return to the police station on Thursday, September 28 pending further investigation.

Officers continue to seek a man who may be able to help with their enquiries.
