Motorcyclist injured in crash with car in Maidstone

A crash involving a motorbike and a car has left a biker injured this evening.

The accident happened on Royal Engineers Road, heading into Maidstone, just after 7pm.

Police and several ambulances were called to the scene.

Eyewitnesses say the motorcyclist was on the ground being treated by paramedics.

It is not clear how badly he has been hurt.

The road is closed and the traffic is at a standstill.
