Maidstone manager Peter Nott hopes to put a frustrating weekend behind him and watch his side hold on to a lead for the first time this season when they host AFC Hornchurch on Saturday.

United were 1-0 ahead against both Bury and Margate on Saturday and Monday respectively before defensive lapses allowed their opponents back into the game.

Nott (pictured) said: "It was a frustrating weekend on the whole. We ended up taking one point from six when I think our performances warranted at least four."

Maidstone are without long-term absentees Ashley Ulph, Nick Davis, Marc Cumberbatch and Marc Corneille, while Jermaine Darlington has returned from a ban, but will miss out with a hamstring strain.

Former AFC Wimbledon and Bromley defender Joe Vines is expected to join the Stones following his release from Sittingbourne this week but is unlikley to be in contention for Saturday’s game.
