Kent’s bravest police officers and staff have been honoured at an awards ceremony.

They were given commendations and certificates of merit at a special ceremony at Kent Police College in Maidstone.

Chief Constable Michael Fuller said: “Day in day out, our officers and staff demonstrate dedication to serving people across Kent and Medway, often beyond the call of duty.

“The awards and commendations I presented reflect exceptional service, including bravery, the highest standards of professionalism, commitment and outstanding work.

“I never fail to be inspired by the selflessness shown by the winners of these awards and it gives me enormous pride to thank those receiving them, not only on behalf of the force, but also on behalf of the wider community.

“The individuals receiving these commendations should be rightly proud of what they achieved and accept them in the knowledge that the force is equally proud of them.”
