BAD weather left large parts of Maidstone's Mote Park largely underwater at the weekend - but it didn’t stop many families from having some fun.

Torrential downpours caused the lake at the historic parkland to burst its banks, leaving the car park and road flooded.

Youngsters particularly had a ball splashing around and trying out some aquatic toys on the "waves".
