County show gets thumbs up

The sun has set on the county’s biggest annual outdoor event for another year.

Dancing diggers, singing robots and even the odd mooing cow all contributed to the eclectic fun of the three-day Kent County Show, at Detling.

The annual rural extravaganza ran from Friday to Sunday bringing its own unique mix of agricultural entertainment and unabashed commercialism.

Punters were entertained with displays of country crafts and sports, including sheep shearing, forestry exhibitions and ferret racing, while livestock competitions showed off the best of Kent’s farming industry.
