EIGHT homes have been evacuated after a couple discovered an unexploded grenade in their back garden.
Bomb disposal experts are at work in Ringlestone Crescent, Maidstone, after a man digging in his back garden came across the device at 1.45pm this afternoon
A cordon was put up within 50 metres of the device, which is thought to be from the Second World War.
Police shut all of Ringlestone Crescent and diverted traffic.
