Sutton United v Welling United

WELLING manager Adrian Pennock has admitted that he already knows which players he wants to keep next season.

The Wings travel to Sutton on Saturday with their play-off hopes dented by a home defeat to struggling Eastbourne on Easter Monday.

Pennock’s summer activity should start shortly but he admitted that it has been put on hold because the club did not know which division they would be playing in.

Pennock said: "I’ve made my mind up but I’m waiting for the budget to be confirmed once we know what league we are in.

"The players have been playing for their contracts since Christmas and I know what I want to do now."

The Wings have already released fringe players Moses Jjunju, Hector Mackie and Jimmy Corbett – with more faces expected to go through the exit door in the coming weeks.

Leading scorer Danny Kedwell is banned for the trip to Sutton with Steve Perkins likely to partner Che Stadhart in attack.
