Gillingham's training camp in Le Touquet comes to an end on Sunday.

The Gills first-team squad have been in France since Tuesday and boss Martin Allen was due to put his team through a rigorous training schedule, which included three training sessions a day.

"They don’t have nights out," said Allen, describing the team’s tough itinerary. "Their alarms in their rooms go off at 7am and we start training at half past with our first session.

"The second session is at 10.30am after breakfast – the first session is a beach run and then back for yoga.

"We finish at noon, we have lunch at 1pm – we are supposed to sleep in the afternoons and the alarms go off at 4pm. In to reception at 4.30pm and we train until 6pm – dinner at 7pm. We then play games like Monopoly and Frustration.

"They play cards but have to be in their rooms by 9pm. They will spend a lot of their time together but a lot of it is resting, that is part of the work."
