GILLINGHAM manager Stan Ternent is taking a close look at three possible signings.

Ashley Sestanovich, Chima Onyeike and Chris Martinez were all included in the starting line-up for the reserve match against Millwall on Tuesday.

The Gills lost 2-0 at Corinthians Sports Ground, but the best news to come out of the match was the return to action of Danny Spiller, who played his first half hour of football since breaking his leg in December.

Midfielder Sestanovich was released by Sheffield United last week after cutting short a loan spell at League 2 side Grimsby Town a month ago.

Dutchman Onyeike, 29, is described as a powerful striker and has played for several clubs in Holland’s top flight.

Martinez, who completed 90 minutes as a full back, is an unknown quantity, although he is thought to be of South American origin.
