WALMER Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club are holding an Open Day on Saturday.

The club is inviting local children and adults to play tennis on their six grass courts and two hard courts free of charge from 11am until 2pm.

The club’s professional coach David Barr will be on hand to provide tips and also give details about the club’s coaching courses and summer children’s coaching camps.

Walmer men’s first team will be playing an East Kent League match against UK Paper, starting at 1pm, and the club bar will be open from 12.30-2pm.

Local players looking to join a club will be able to pick up membership details, and the Lawn Tennis Association have provided some freebie giveaways.
