More of the same from ice men?

CARL AMBER: first rate display against Peterborough Islanders
CARL AMBER: first rate display against Peterborough Islanders

THE Gillingham-based Invicta Dynamos ice hockey squad will be hoping their good run continues when they entertain Gosport in the league on Sunday (face-off 5.15pm).

Last weekend, despite missing Jon Gray and Damien Welch, Mos were too string for Peterborough Islanders, thrashing them 8-1 in the English National Hockey League Cup.

The visitors hit more shots on goal than the Mos (45-29), but found netminder Carl Ambler in man-of-the-match form and the home team much more clinical in front of the net.

Andy Martin opened the scoring in the first period and there were further goals from Peter Beerling, Phil Chard and Kevin Lake in the second period and Gary Dodds, Dan Fudger, Peter Carey and a second from Lake in the third.
