MAMADY SIDIBE: Knee ligament problem

GILLINGHAM are to formally complain to the Mali FA after they played striker Mamady Sidibe in a match against the Seychelles last Sunday.

The 22-year-old has not played for Gillingham for six weeks owing to knee ligament trouble.

Gills manager Andy Hessenthaler said: “We are disappointed that Mali pressured a young lad into playing when they knew he wasn't fit.

“What they did was totally out of order and we shall be writing to them.”
