Bromley star striker Nic McDonnell has signed for Ryman League Premier Division AFC Wimbledon.

It was the latest in a number of moves between Hayes Lane and Kingsmeadow.

The two clubs were in contact last month when Lillywhites player-manager Simon Osborn prized former Charlton Athletic youngsters Mark DeBolla and Karl Beckford away from Kingsmeadow on loan deals.

And there was more contract dealings between the two on transfer deadline day as McDonnell, Bromley’s current player-of-the-year, signed a permanent deal with the Ryman Premier Division high-fliers.

McDonnell, who made some 125 appearances for the Lillywhites and scored 70 goals, is joined at the Dons by 29-year-old central defender Ben Judge, who was released by Bromley over the weekend.

A third player to exit Hayes Lane was Simon Glover, who joined Tonbridge Angels.

Bromley boss Osborn recently admitted that his team need to win their remaining four games, beginning with Newport away on Saturday, to reach the Blue Square South play-offs.
