The outgoing chairman of Ebbsfleet says the club's plans for a new ground show they are planning for a future in the Football League.

Brian Kilcullen, who is being replaced by John Moules as chairman after completing his interim stint in the job, says there will be space to increase the capacity of any new stadium if the team are promoted.

Initially the venue, which will be within three miles of the Fleet's current home at Stonebridge Road, will hold between 5,000-8,000 spectators using a mixture of seating and terracing.

And Kilcullen told kmfm the ground can be developed into a Championship standard stadium if needed although he is keen, if possible, to keep the option of a terraced section for fans.
