THE third day of Kent's LV championship game with Worcestershire went the same way as the first two and was abandoned without a ball being bowled.

Match umpires Barry Duddleston and Steve Garratt inspected at 3pm and soon realised that, with water coming over their shoes, that no play was possible.

If the teams can get out into the middle on Friday, the fourth and final day of this match, the game will become a one innings event with no bonus points to play for.

If either side can force a win in the final three sessions of this game then they would bank 14 points. Play is scheduled for an 11am start.
