Gillingham manager Mark Stimson will this week try and persuade midfielder Charlie Daniels to extend his loan deal for another month.

The Tottenham youngster has impressed on the left side of midfield during his opening four matches in a deal which is set to expire at the end of September.

Stimson is keen to extend that until the end of October and believes Daniels is also interested in staying.

The Gills boss said: “I had a brief chat with Charlie in the week and he’s interested in doing something. We’ll probably get together this week and try and nail him down for another month because I think he’s added something to us.”
