ENGLAND manager Sven-Goran Eriksson has moved to reassure Charlton's Darren Bent that he still figures in his World Cup plans depsite not selecting him in his latest squad for the friendly against Argentina on Saturday.

Bent has yet to make his full international debut even though he has been named in Eriksson's last two squads since his summer move to The Valley.

But this time he has been named in Peter Taylor's Under-21 squad for the two-legged European Championship play-off against France, along with team-mates Jerome Thomas and Darren Ambrose.

Full-back Luke Young has once again been called up to the senior England squad and looks set to continue at right-back in place of the injured Manchester United star Gary Neville.
