LES REED: "I'm sure it will keep me sane in the months ahead"

NEW Charlton boss Les Reed has revealed for the first time his secret of combating Premiership stress.

Ahead of his first home game in charge against Everton on Saturday, he disclosed: "I get out on a Sunday morning and act as touchline physio for my son Andrew’s Under-15 team which is attached to Bishops Stortford Football Club.

"I must be the only Premier League manager who doubles as a physio to a Sunday junior football club. But I love it and I’m sure it will keep me sane in the months ahead."

Andrew, who is a Charlton supporter, has not been slow in coming forward with advice for his father as he attempts to lift the club from the foot of the table.

Reed added: "Andrew has his ideas and he gives me advice about getting more shots on target and getting crosses in. He might make a good coach one day."
