Young street attack victim suffers broken jaw

A 22-year-old man had to undergo surgery after being punched in the face during an assault in a Kent town.

The attack, which left the victim with a broken jaw, happened at the junction of Grosvenor Place and Eaton Road, Margate.

After the assault the young man was taken to the town's QEQM Hospital for treatment.

His attacker was aged around 20 with light-brown hair and he was wearing a dark checked shirt. A man with him was wearing a navy or black fleece jumper and had blond hair.

Anyone with information about this incident, which took place at around 12.45am on Sunday, October 14, is urged to contact police on 01843 222084.
