Woman to stand trial for attempted murder in Bay

A woman is to stand trial for trying to kill a man following a stabbing in Herne Bay.

Lorraine Hallett, 40, of Neville Road, Herne Bay, denied attempting to murder Paul Hayes when she appeared at Maidstone Crown Court today Friday.

Mr Hayes, 40, of London Road, Canterbury, suffered stab wounds during an incident at a flat in Central Parade on February 17.

Hallett’s trial is due to start on August 8. She was remanded in custody.
